Fashion Weekend 2013 at beautiful Holbox Island

With the presence of great designers such as Pineda Covalin, Malafacha, Aline Moreno, Jesus Ibarra and Bertoldo, last weekend was held the Fashion Weekend 2013 in Holbox Island.

The purpose of the event was to promote an exclusive and luxurious destination such as Holbox, where its boutique hotels and beach make it an attractive place for visitors with high economy level.

The Fashion Weekend is one of the most recognized fashion platforms worldwide and its first edition was done in Miami, Florida, in 1986 and replicated in more than 56 capitals of the world.

This event allowed, at least, 50 million viewers passionate fashion world will know the gateway scenario celebrities and fashion exponents in Mexico.

The designers showed their latest collections on this site and contributed to the promotion and dissemination of the natural beauties of the island, since the event were covered by national and international media.

Juan Carlos Gonzalez Hernandez, Quintana Roo’s  Secretary of Tourism, said that this event will have a significant impact in addition to the efforts made in the last year to promote the island through exclusive events and targeted to specific segments, including the gastronomic and this time the world of fashion.

This event had business alliances with Interjet, Tommy Hilfiger, Appleton State, Tequila Herradura, Cancunissimo, and Holbox private initiative supported by the event host hotel: The Clouds, Villa Flamingos, and Villas Paradise, where they checked the runways.

With more travelers knowing about  these actions by different media Holbox Island, which arouse curiosity to travel to Quintana Roo, where he also performs a cooking demonstration with internationally renowned chefs.
