One week after the World Summit of the WTTC (World Travel & Tourism Council), Cancun is ready to receive the first major event of the tourism sector of 2021, under the slogan ‘Uniting the World for Recovery’, which will be the ideal platform that will drive the recovery of the sector, which has been severely damaged by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the international economy.
The meeting that will take place from April 25 to 27 in Cancun, Quintana Roo, will demonstrate how things can be done well, under strict biosafety standards for the protection of the health of the participants in the venue.
The event will be held in a hybrid way in two aspects: with 600 delegates in person and more than 30 thousand remotely, through a digital platform.
In this regard, the President and CEO of the WTTC, Master Gloria Guevara pointed out that the participation of Juan Manuel Santos, former President of Colombia and 2016 Nobel Peace Prize winner, has been confirmed; as well as CEOs of companies (Carnival Corporation, Hilton, Marriot, Meliá and Internova, among many others), government leaders, ministers of foreign affairs and tourism, and more than 100 top-level speakers from countries such as the United States, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Peru, and Saudi Arabia, to name just a few.
